Seaford, Delaware, United States Aequor Technologies Full time
Job Summary

Aequor Technologies is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Stepdown Unit setting. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients who are critically ill but stable enough to leave the intensive care unit. Your responsibilities will include monitoring patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall condition, promptly identifying and addressing any changes in status. You will also administer medications, including IV drips and infusions, as prescribed by physicians, and perform complex nursing procedures. Additionally, you will assist with the transition of patients from the ICU to the PCU/Stepdown unit, ensuring continuity of care and smooth handoff. Collaborating with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals, you will develop and implement individualized care plans. You will educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and discharge planning, promoting understanding and compliance. Your role will also involve performing regular assessments and documenting patient information accurately, maintaining up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards. You will respond to emergencies and provide immediate care, utilizing critical thinking skills to evaluate patient needs and make informed decisions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a current RN state license in good standing, a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Stepdown Unit, or related critical care nursing field. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required. You will also need to have strong knowledge of critical care nursing practices, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are also necessary, along with a compassionate and patient-focused approach to care. Finally, you will need to be able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Benefits

Aequor Technologies offers a range of benefits to support your career and well-being, including tax-free housing and meal stipend, first-day health insurance coverage, weekly direct deposit, sick days/PTO, travel reimbursement, 401k eligibility after the first year, credentialing assistance, CEU/Tuition reimbursement, and professional development opportunities.
