Salary and Benefits
As a Critical Care Nurse Specialist at TidalHealth, you can expect a competitive salary, ranging from $75,000 to $120,000 per year, depending on experience. Job Description
The Critical Care Nurse Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating a plan of patient care utilizing the American Nurses Association Standards and the Nursing Process. This role acts as a patient advocate, providing support, information, and direct care while utilizing equipment and technology skillfully. The Registered Nurse educates patients and families on significant self-care issues and may be required to inventory, distribute, and deliver medications.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must be a licensed and registered Registered Nurse, with a license in the state of permanent residency. You will also need to possess American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification and obtain Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification within 12 months of employment. Additionally, NIH Stroke Scale Certification will be obtained during orientation.
Work Schedule
The Critical Care Nurse Specialist may be assigned to day, evening, or night shifts or a combination per departmental policy. You will be scheduled off at least three holidays per year and required to work weekends per unit need. Overtime may be expected on occasion.
