Job Description

AIRBUS U.S. Space & Defense, Inc. is a leading provider of advanced solutions for the U.S. defense, security, space, and intelligence communities. We are seeking a skilled Aerospace Manufacturing Technician to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and testing satellite sub-assemblies and top-level assemblies using various tools and work instructions. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform equipment set-up, operation, and post-production activities.
  • Assemble and test satellite sub-assemblies and top-level assemblies using various tools and work instructions.
  • Conduct in-process testing and provide updates to analytical staff on anticipated testing needs.
  • Work consistently, quickly, and accurately to meet department standards.
  • Monitor and report labor hours accurately to multiple projects.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (automated systems a plus).
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and 5S principles is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in using test equipment or mechanical assembly equipment (preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in adhering to safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
  • Familiarity with MS Word and Excel is a plus.
  • Familiarity with large scale highly technical equipment or other industrial/manufacturing equipment (preferred).
