Position Summary

The Make Ready role is essential in executing the maintenance operations of the property, focusing on corrective, preventative, routine, and cosmetic maintenance tasks.

This position works under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager to ensure the make-ready process aligns with the property's operational goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough cleaning, trash removal, and general upkeep of the grounds and residential areas, including make-ready units and common spaces.
  • Respond promptly to resident and management requests, addressing work orders for community areas, buildings, and units.
  • Ensure all necessary repairs and replacements are completed for community common areas and units.
  • Maintain the exterior of the community, including grounds, breezeways, and all shared spaces.
  • Perform swimming pool maintenance and cleaning, keeping accurate chemical logs.
  • Inspect grounds, buildings, and community features daily to identify and mitigate hazardous conditions.
  • Implement a preventative maintenance program to prolong the life of the community and reduce future repairs.
  • Keep the maintenance shop organized and stocked, adhering to safety standards and OSHA guidelines.
  • Assist in maintaining the hazard communications program and promote safe work practices.
  • Participate in unit inspections as required.
  • Report any violations of community rules to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Community Manager.
  • Utilize property resources and supplies efficiently.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.
Customer & Resident Relations

Deliver exceptional customer service and monitor the responsiveness of service requests.

Maintain a positive image of the community to achieve property objectives and enhance public recognition.

Ensure consistency in interactions with residents on all matters and enforce community policies as delegated by the supervisor.
