Overview:
The Agile Technical Project/Program Manager plays a pivotal role in orchestrating project execution, ensuring effective planning, organization, communication, and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define project scope and timelines while ensuring the consistent delivery of value.
- Organize and facilitate project status meetings and working sessions.
- Prepare and disseminate progress reports to stakeholders.
- Identify and manage risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Oversee multiple concurrent projects, particularly those that are complex or high-risk, and develop recovery strategies when deviations occur.
- Capture product requirements comprehensively, driving project goals with a focus on quality and integrity.
- Focus on innovating, developing, and delivering new products in alignment with the Product Development portfolio.
- Reduce project risks through enhanced analysis, decision-making, planning, and monitoring.
Experience Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience managing projects in technology-driven environments (6+ years with a Master's Degree).
- PMP certification is preferred, along with experience leading projects to successful outcomes.
- Agile Scrum Master certification is desirable.
- Experience with dSpace Hardware/Software is a plus.
- Proven track record in managing geographically dispersed project teams.
- Experience in concurrent software development within complex build and merge management processes is highly valued.
- Technology product development experience is strongly preferred.
- 2+ years of SAFe/Agile/Lean experience is advantageous.
Essential Skills:
- Design, build, and maintain the HiL Software Validation Cycle plan, encompassing scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
- Lead the collection of product requirements and project scope across multiple teams.
- Monitor project progress and design recovery strategies for deviations.
- Assemble and present effective status reports tailored to various audiences.
- Design and deliver presentations for executive governance in Product Lifecycle Management.
- Facilitate program-level meetings to communicate status and coordinate efforts.
- Conduct retrospectives on completed projects to enhance processes and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve problems and develop actionable plans.
- Promote collaboration and transparency, fostering trusting relationships within the organization.
- Act as a change agent in the organization's Agile transformation, demonstrating strong leadership and a collaborative spirit.
Preferred Skills:
- Effective communication skills across various formats for diverse audiences.
- Ability to develop schedules using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
- Experience in designing project charters that include scope, schedule, budget, and risk management plans.
- Critical thinking skills to analyze problems and develop solutions.
- Familiarity with managing projects that involve both software and hardware components.
- Strong knowledge of technology sectors and the interplay between various business functions.
- Proficiency in tools such as Jira Align, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
- Willingness to travel as required.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology (BSEE, BSCS) or a related field is required.
- PMP certification and Agile Scrum Master certification are preferred.
