Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer

As a Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our mission to deliver innovative energy solutions. This position is situated within the Operating Plants Mechanical Systems division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers to design, analyze, and assess mechanical systems using advanced engineering software.
- Implement engineering principles and adhere to industry standards, including ASME and ANSI, in all design and analysis activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges for existing nuclear power facilities and new projects.
- Generate detailed calculations and reports that comply with ASME Section III and other relevant international codes.
- Engage with cross-disciplinary engineers, including electrical and civil/structural teams.
- Contribute to project teams with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings with clients and vendors to present technical information and support product design justifications.
- Ensure project deliverables align with established scope, budget, and timelines.
- Identify and support the development of new business opportunities.
- Lead complex problem-solving initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering (preferred), Civil, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
- A Master of Science (M.S.) degree is advantageous.
- Proven expertise in one or more engineering disciplines.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, preferably in the power industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Able to work effectively in a global team environment and travel as needed.
