RN - PACU - Lakewood - Per Diem Days

We are seeking a skilled Registered Professional Nurse to join our team in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center. As a PACU Recovery Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring a smooth transition for patients from the operating room to the recovery area.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering patient care, utilizing the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide individualized care to patients, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, communicating effectively with patients and families, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a current California RN license, current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. A minimum of one year of experience as a PACU Recovery Nurse is required, as well as previous acute hospital experience. You must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as the ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms is preferred.
