LVC Companies is seeking a skilled Low Voltage System Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial fire alarm and security systems.

Job Overview:

You will work closely with our team to ensure that all installations are completed to the highest standard, on time and within budget. Your strong understanding of electronic components and circuitry will enable you to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation of electronic cable according to specifications and NEC codes
  • Basic wiring and installation of hardware used in fire alarm and security systems
  • Operation of cable testing equipment to ensure system performance
  • Project planning and initiation
  • Install and service electronic fire and security systems
  • Layout, installation, and verification of operation of security and access control systems
  • Install communications and sound distribution systems
  • Meet all installation deadlines
  • Accurate tracking on time sheets, service/installation tickets, and inventory items
  • Compliance with company's and customer's safety program
Requirements:
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • An Associate's degree in electronics is preferred
  • Minimum of two years industry experience (experience considered on an individual basis)
  • A working knowledge of low voltage systems required
