Job Overview

About You: We seek an experienced Low Voltage Technician for the installation, maintenance, repair, service, wire pulling, and certification of commercial fire alarm and security systems. Upon joining LVC Companies, you will be required to become a member of IBEW 640.

Compensation

We offer a competitive pay rate of $27-$37 per hour. Additionally, benefits include company-issued equipment, paid holidays and vacations, 100% employer-paid health insurance, company-paid life insurance, and opportunities for a company vehicle and gas card.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install electronic cables according to specifications and NEC codes
  • Perform basic wiring and hardware installation for fire alarm and security systems
  • Operate cable testing equipment to ensure system performance
  • Plan and initiate projects
  • Install and service electronic fire and security systems
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of electronic components and circuitry
  • Install pathways and spaces for low voltage wiring
  • Lay out, install, and verify operation of security and access control systems
  • Install communications and sound distribution systems
  • Meet all installation deadlines
  • Track time accurately on time sheets, service/installation tickets, and inventory items
  • Maintain full compliance with company and customer safety programs
  • Understand local fire code, NFPA 72, NEC 70, and other applicable codes
  • Hold necessary local licenses and certifications
Requirements
  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • An Associate's degree in electronics is preferred
  • A minimum of two years industry experience, with individual circumstances considered
  • A working knowledge of low voltage systems
