Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Technician to join our team at Geeks on Site. As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for installing, configuring, and integrating low voltage systems, including alarm and camera systems, audio systems, and networks. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining these systems to ensure optimal performance and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and integrate low voltage systems, including alarm and camera systems, audio systems, and networks.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain low voltage systems to identify and resolve technical issues.
  • Conduct routine inspections, system upgrades, and repairs to ensure optimal system performance and client satisfaction.
  • Provide technical support to clients and internal teams.
  • Document project specifications, installation procedures, and system configurations.
  • Generate progress reports, service tickets, and other documentation as required.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • PC imaging and configuration experience.
  • Troubleshooting hardware and network issues.
  • Aptitude for helping people use and understand technology.
  • Ability to learn on the job.
  • In-depth knowledge and usage of smart devices and their systems.
  • Experience in smart device installation, hardware diagnostics, and configuration.
  • Able to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift and carry items unassisted.
  • Knowledge of general construction and electrical principles.

Working Conditions

This is a 1099 independent contractor position. You will be responsible for providing your own tools, vehicle, and valid driver's license, as well as maintaining your vehicle.

Compensation

Pay is per service, not hourly.
