Beach Club Youth Program Coordinator

At JBay LLC, we're seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Beach Club Youth Program Coordinator. As a key member of our summer camp team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our campers while providing a fun and engaging experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Properly monitor campers at all times in a safe and efficient manner
  • Actively participate in all programs areas as assigned
  • Be a role model to campers in your attitude and behavior by maintaining a positive and upbeat manner
  • Set a good example to campers and others in regards to general camp procedures and practices, including sanitation, schedules, and sportsmanship
  • Represent the camp in a positive and professional manner when interacting with parents or others
  • Adhere to company's policy reporting tips
  • Provide timely, courteous, and professional service to all guests
  • Follow all health and safety standards, security guidelines, policies, and initiatives

Requirements:
  • Ability to relate to youth and adults in a positive manner, including understanding of the development needs of youth
  • Visual and auditory ability to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to the activity
  • Physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid
  • Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury) and possess strength and endurance to maintain constant supervision of campers
  • Must be able to work the entire season (8 weeks), without any vacation
  • Must report ALL tips via timeclock as per company policy
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Must be a minimum of 16 years of age
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (we accept high school juniors and seniors)
  • Experience: Previous youth camp experience (including as a participant) Resort / National Park experience

Compensation:
  • Hourly rate of pay $13.35 plus tips (all tips are required to be reported per IRS regulations)
