As a Data Center Commissioning Engineer (CxE), you will collaborate with a diverse group of engineers, supply chain experts, security professionals, and operations managers to address fascinating challenges in the construction and operation of Amazon-owned data centers.

Key Responsibilities

The Commissioning Engineer (CxE) plays a crucial role in overseeing the testing and validation of AWS data center electrical and mechanical systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing design documents and leading Factory Witness Testing (FWT).
  • Managing third-party commissioning vendors during onsite testing phases.
  • Taking ownership of project outcomes by resolving technical issues and adapting to evolving schedules.
  • Providing multi-disciplinary input for project scheduling, test script development, and planning.
  • Conducting audits to ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and safety standards.
  • Reporting weekly on project statuses and lessons learned to enhance program quality.
Physical and Travel Requirements

This role requires the ability to:

  • Navigate uneven terrain and work at heights.
  • Lift and move objects weighing up to 49 pounds.
  • Travel domestically and internationally for up to 80% of the year.
Preferred Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with SharePoint.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems for critical infrastructure.
  • Experience in developing and executing test procedures for systems based on design specifications.
