Postdoctoral Scholar in Electrocatalysis and Battery
Job Summary:The John and Willie Leone Family Department of Energy and Mineral Engineering at Penn State University is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to work in the area of electrocatalysis and battery under the guidance of Dr. Feifei Shi. The successful candidate will conduct independent research, mentor graduate and undergraduate students, contribute to technical publications and proposals, and assist in lab organization and management.
Responsibilities:- Conduct full-time independent research in electrocatalysis and battery
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate students in research and academic activities
- Contribute to technical publications and proposals
- Assist in lab organization and management
- Ph.D. in material science or related discipline
- Demonstrated success in carrying out independent research and dissemination of results
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Experience in materials synthesis, characterization, and electrochemistry
- Leadership experience and grant proposal writing skills preferred
This is a postdoctoral position, funded for one year from the date of hire, with possibility for further extension.
