Automation Systems Specialist

As a key member of the NSH USA team, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing control systems for our machine tools and automation systems. Your expertise in software development will be essential in creating efficient and effective control systems.
Responsibilities will include collaborating with other engineering disciplines to establish control systems architectures and control strategies, planning and developing software for machine control, HMI, SCADA, and other control systems, and commissioning equipment at test sites.
You will also be responsible for generating content for Operations sections of Operation and Maintenance manuals, facilitating discussions with customers and suppliers related to control systems, interfaces, and integration, and traveling up to 30% to support commissioning, integration, and site acceptance at customers' facilities.
Additionally, you will support the Customer Service Center by helping diagnose and correct controls-related issues on installed equipment and perform other duties as required by the Director of Engineering.
This role requires a strong understanding of computer hardware and system architecture, as well as experience developing control system programs for Siemens, Fanuc, or Allen Bradley PLCs, CNCs, HMIs, and Servo Drives.
Proficiency in National Instruments LabView and a fundamental understanding of computer communications and industrial network protocols are also desired.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management skills, and project management skills are essential for this role.
A mechanical aptitude and ability to understand mechanical drawings, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics are also required.
Experience with AutoCAD and a strong sense of professionalism, enthusiasm, and urgency are highly valued.
