Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the coordination of fiscal management, external studies, strategic planning, and business management to achieve organizational goals.
  • Participate in working groups regarding program development, assessment, and execution to ensure alignment with departmental objectives.
  • Develop official guidance and policy direction to support the implementation of programs and projects.
  • Complete high-priority assignments that require immediate attention and sensitivity to organizational needs.
Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Must meet time-in-grade requirements for current federal employees.
  • Must be registered for Selective Service (for males born after 12-31-59).
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
Qualifications
  • At least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
  • Experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying knowledge of Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES); 2) Managing and executing budgets at various levels and using databases to monitor budgets; 3) Utilizing managerial and technical skills to plan, organize and direct expert-level teams, evaluate needed efforts, and manage project resources; and 4) Preparing Program Objective Memorandum (POM) long-range and short-range planning guidance.
