This role is crucial in supporting various construction endeavors by engaging in tasks such as framing carpentry, wall and roof assembly, sheathing application, and metal panel fitting. Candidates should possess a solid grasp of construction methodologies, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to quality craftsmanship.
Compensation: $20 to $25/hour, based on experience
Work Schedule: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyze blueprints and construction schematics
- Assist in constructing and installing wooden frameworks for walls and roofs, ensuring precision in leveling and alignment
- Support the assembly and installation of structural frameworks
- Measure, cut, and affix sheathing materials to frameworks, contributing to the structural integrity of walls and roofs
- Safely handle and position metal panels
- Assist in the fitting of metal panels on walls and roofs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in construction or a related field
- Knowledge of framing carpentry, sheathing, and metal panel installation
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and plans
- Familiarity with hand and power tools utilized in construction
- Physical endurance and capability to work in varying weather conditions
