About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in a correctional setting. This role is perfect for individuals who possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on patient care and teamwork.

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is $52,000 - $72,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

In this role, you will provide evidence-based nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Your duties will include administering medications, providing first aid and basic life support, and maintaining accurate medical records. You will also be responsible for interacting with other departments and promoting continued competence through education and certification.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Valid unrestricted Virginia LPN license or multi-state compact license
  • Demonstrated ability to screen complaints of physical ailments and refer necessary cases to other medical professionals
  • Experience in carrying out provider's orders in applying treatments
  • Maintaining appropriate documentation
  • Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions
