Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Transmission Tech Apprentice at Classic Ford Lincoln - Columbia in Columbia, South Carolina.

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $40,000 and $100,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work under the supervision of experienced technicians to diagnose and repair transmission issues.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on transmissions to identify potential problems early.
  • Assist with disassembling and reassembling transmissions, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work performed and communicate effectively with team members.
Qualifications and Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A strong passion for automotive technology and a willingness to learn and grow within the field.
  • Basic knowledge of transmission systems and components, including gears, clutches, and torque converters.
  • The ability to follow instructions and work well in a team environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work, ensuring that all repairs meet or exceed manufacturer standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
