Position Responsibilities

The Vocational Nurse provides both direct and indirect patient care services that require technical and manual skills within the defined scope of practice. This role addresses the psychosocial, physical, and general care needs of patients while ensuring effective communication with patients and their families. The Vocational Nurse operates under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Additionally, the role requires knowledge of EMTALA Regulations and the triage process in the Emergency Room setting.


Qualifications

Education, Experience, and Training:

  • Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire and maintenance of certification.
  • IV certification upon hire; Blood Withdrawal (BW) certification is preferred.
