Job Summary

Missouri Baptist Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, employees, and hospital property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct continuous patrols of the medical center to identify and mitigate potential security risks
  • Respond to emergency situations in accordance with established Security Department protocol
  • Implement staff education and professional development programs to ensure officers maintain required certifications
  • Mentor officers in areas of job performance identified as needing improvement
  • Conduct training for new hire officers in basic core tasks routinely assigned to Public Safety officers
  • Function as a department resource trainer and conduct training necessary for officers to maintain mandated certification and licensing
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2-5 years of experience in a security or law enforcement role
  • Valid driver's license
  • Applicable government regulations and certifications (e.g. ASP Baton Certification, CPR/AED, IAHSS Nonviolent Crisis Intervention)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree in a related field
  • Experience as a supervisor or trainer
  • ASP Instructor Certification, CPR/AED Instructor Certification, and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Instructor Certification
