Sound Anesthesia is seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to lead our Research Medical Center anesthesia team. As a critical member of our collaborative CRNA / Anesthesiologist leadership team, the Chief CRNA will oversee the department's daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and fostering an environment of excellence in clinical practice and teamwork.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Provide clinical leadership and administrative oversight for the CRNA team.
* Ensure compliance with departmental policies, procedures, and accreditation standards.
* Develop and implement protocols to maintain best practices in anesthesia care.
* Mentor, train, and evaluate CRNAs, ensuring continuous professional development and adherence to evidence-based practices.
* Monitor department performance, including patient outcomes, quality measures, and operational efficiency.
* Participate in recruitment, retention, and performance evaluations of CRNA staff.
* Lead initiatives in patient safety, quality improvement, and staff engagement.
* Manage department scheduling, ensuring optimal staff coverage for surgical and non-surgical anesthesia services.
* Stay current on advancements in anesthesia practices and lead continuing education efforts for the team.

**Qualifications**

* Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia from an accredited program.
* Current licensure as a CRNA in Missouri.
* Minimum of six years of experience as a practicing CRNA, with at least three years in a leadership or supervisory role.
* Strong clinical skills with demonstrated expertise in various anesthesia techniques, including general, regional, and monitored anesthesia care.
* Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
* A commitment to continuous improvement, patient safety, and excellence in anesthesia care.
* Ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

**Compensation & Benefits**

* $233,000 plus Chief Stipend.
