About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit team at Frye Regional Medical Center, a 355-bed acute hospital located in Hickory, NC. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
  • Document patient care given and monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Adhere to all core measure initiatives, patient safety goals, and NQF Safe Practices.
