Our Facility:
Frye Regional Medical Center is a 355-bed acute care hospital that offers a wide range of medical services, including emergency care, surgical services, and inpatient rehabilitation. Our state-of-the-art facility is equipped with the latest technology and staffed by a team of highly trained healthcare professionals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality patient care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
- Document patient care given and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate with the care team to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Adhere to all core measure initiatives, patient safety goals, and NQF Safe Practices.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Current RN license to practice in NC.
