Job Overview:

CPU Emulation Engineer plays a crucial role in the CPU verification team at Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. This position involves delivering emulation-based solutions for CPU teams by working closely with various disciplines. As part of this role, you will help verify and validate high-performance CPUs across different platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with CPU RTL, performance, verification, and software teams to create emulation-based solutions.
  • Develop test bench infrastructure in C/C++ and SystemVerilog to enable CPU emulation on multiple platforms.
  • Create verification methodologies ensuring scalability and portability across simulation and emulation environments.
  • Analyze and debug emulation performance and area issues to optimize resource usage.
  • Establish an environment to run verification test cases, OS boot, performance benchmarks, and other vectors.
  • Design debugging methodologies to efficiently debug and root cause CPU functional and performance issues.
  • Maintain the emulation environment to collect metrics related to emulation resources.
  • Work closely with emulation CAD teams to resolve infrastructure issues and ensure productivity on emulation models.
  • Implement verification plans, including design bring-up, DV environment bring-up, regression enabling for all features under your care, and debug of test failures.

Salary Range: $167,100.00 - $250,700.00

The salary reflects the broad minimum to maximum range for this job code in the location.
