Job Title: Structural Drafter
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Structural Drafter to join our team at Actalent. As a Structural Drafter, you will be responsible for creating accurate Bills of Material, performing engineering calculations, and producing structural drawings and models using Revit Structure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create Bills of Material: Enter accurate information into the system.
- Engineering Calculations: Perform layouts, load, and stress analyses.
- Structural Drawings and Models: Produce and manage using Revit Structure.
- Building Plans and Designs: Prepare construction documents.
- Material Selection: Choose construction materials and provide technical advice.
- Project Coordination: Communicate effectively with project teams and clients.
- Compliance: Ensure structural stability and adherence to building codes.
- Training and QA/QC: Support staff on CAD/Revit standards.
- Research and Analysis: Conduct literature reviews, develop engineering models, and perform data analyses.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit project reports, briefs, and cost estimates.
- Software Development: Participate in design and development.
Requirements:
- Education: 2-year associate degree or 1-year certificate in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD).
- Experience: Minimum 5 years using AutoCAD and Revit (Versions for concrete, masonry, steel, and wood construction drawings).
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in AutoCAD & Revit.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret design sketches and specifications to create technical drawings.
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and precision.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent skills in identifying and resolving issues.
Work Environment:
- Full-Time: Flexible start time (typically 8-5, can start at 9/10 AM).
- Office Requirement: 1-2 days required in the office.
