Process Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our team in Newaygo. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our plastic injection molding machines.

• Machine Start-up and Shutdown: Perform start-up and shutdown procedures for plastic injection molding machines, ensuring all subsystems are operational.
• Troubleshooting and Debugging: Identify and resolve process problems for new or existing products, improving part quality and yields.
• Process Optimization: Adjust process parameters and recommend changes to improve efficiencies, working closely with the Molding Process Engineer or department managers.
• Documentation and Communication: Properly document changes made to process parameters and notify relevant resources.
• Equipment Transfer: Transfer current processes from one press to another when required.
• Quality Control: Continuously monitor processes to ensure equipment is running smoothly and efficiently, and that parts meet customer requirements.
• Product Non-Conformity: Resolve any product non-conformity issues as requested by the Team Coordinator, Quality Engineer, or Press Operator.
• Maintenance and Training: Provide on-going training needs for Manufacturing Set-Up Technicians and Mold Setters, identify growth opportunities, and support Departmental KOI goals.
