Radiation Oncology Department Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiation Oncology Department Leader to join our team at Norton Cancer Institute.
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the radiation oncology department, ensuring safe and effective patient care, and maintaining a culture of excellence in all aspects of the department.
About the Role- Lead a team of radiation therapists, registrars, and physician secretaries to deliver high-quality patient care and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Develop and implement processes to improve departmental efficiency, quality, and patient satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of all equipment and software used in the department and stay up-to-date with industry developments.
- Work closely with billing, coding, and financial counselors to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for services.
- Collaborate with other departments and services to promote a culture of teamwork and collaboration throughout the organization.
- Manage therapist schedules to meet the needs of daily operations and ensure that patients receive timely and effective treatment.
- Clearly communicate expectations and parameters for work scope and authority to execute actions.
- Assign tasks and responsibility in a fair and equitable manner, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory agency standards and policies, supporting patient safety and a non-punitive reporting environment.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient information, treatment plans, and departmental metrics.
- Five years of experience as a Radiation Therapist, with a strong background in leadership and management.
- Diploma or degree in a relevant field, such as Radiologic Technology or a related field.
- Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification, with the ability to obtain State Radiology Technologist License within 12 months of hire.
The salary for this role is approximately $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. The benefits package includes health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development and growth.
