Position Overview:

We are seeking a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Manager to join our esteemed organization in Connecticut. As a leader, you will be responsible for managing and developing clinical staff, ensuring the smooth operation of the Hospital Medicine department. Your duties will include overseeing hiring processes, scheduling, task assignments, coaching, mentoring, and providing essential training and education to staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, comprehensive, and cost-effective advanced practice care to patients and their families.
  • Engage in the medical management of patients to help them achieve optimal health, manage chronic diseases, and minimize health risks.
  • Actively participate in departmental quality and safety initiatives, contributing to the overall leadership of the Hospital Medicine team.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program or completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program relevant to the specialty.
  • A minimum of three years of advanced practice experience in acute care or a specialized area.
  • Possession of a current CT APRN license or a valid PA license.
  • Additional certifications or training may be required based on the complexity of chronic diseases and clinical conditions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence in an advanced practice role.
