Job Opportunity: Pastry Cook

Cordillera Ranch Club Management is seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of baked goods, including cakes, cookies, pies, bread, and pastries. You will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of sweet and savory goods, including artisan breads, rolls, muffins, laminated Danish, and doughnuts.
  • Develop and design new pastry and dessert items for the restaurant, lodges, and club events.
  • Ensure excellent quality and presentation of all desserts and pastries.
  • Follow proper handling and temperature control of all food products.
  • Decorate pastries and desserts using different types of icings, toppings, and other garnishes.
  • Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
  • Assist in determining how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings and come prepared with thoughtful and pertinent suggestions for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven skill in baking, pastry preparation, and decoration.
  • Extensive knowledge of health and safety procedures for kitchens and food preparation areas.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously, but also with a team.
  • A food handlers certificate.
