Position: Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Peak Industrial Inc is in search of a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to enhance our workforce. We offer a competitive compensation package along with comprehensive benefits, including a 401K plan.

The technician will be tasked with diagnosing, repairing, refurbishing, overhauling, and maintaining customer heavy machinery and/or components. This role may require occasional travel to client sites for equipment servicing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair heavy machinery engines and components.
  • Interpret schematics (both electrical and hydraulic).
  • Prepare inspection and evaluation reports.
  • Accurately allocate work to the appropriate work order segments.
  • Complete and submit service reports punctually.
  • Communicate effectively with Service Writers and/or Shop Managers regarding repair issues and status updates.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve shop and company objectives.
  • Clean, repair, refurbish, and maintain machinery and components.
  • Disassemble, assemble, and install components and parts.
  • Order replacement parts, ensuring accuracy and completeness at the time of order.
  • Test, measure, and adjust engine and machine systems and components.
  • Diagnose and rectify machinery and engine malfunctions and failures.
  • Stay updated with advancements in tools, technologies, and systems.
  • Adhere to safe working practices and comply with all company safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical systems, drive trains, engines, hydraulics, and computer-controlled systems.
  • High School Diploma or GED, with a preference for graduates from an accredited technical school specializing in diesel engine or heavy equipment repair.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Effective and professional communication skills with customers.
