Job Description

At Ryder System, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automotive Technician to join our team. As a Mobile Light and Medium Duty Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing diagnosis, repairs, and preventative maintenance on our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, and fluid checks.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, transmissions, and other fuel components.
  • Conduct hydraulic brake inspections, repairs, and replacements.
  • Operate out of a mobile maintenance vehicle and travel to customer yards within assigned regions.
  • Represent Ryder System to establish relationships with customers and ensure proper documentation of work orders and repair notes.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or professional diploma preferred.
  • Two years or more in combination of classroom training and work experience.
  • Non-commercial driver's license, CLASS E, preferred.
  • Valid commercial driver's license, CLASS A, preferred.
  • State driver's license, as required.
  • Pass a Ryder drug test and previous employer's for the past 3 years, DOT physical, Ryder road test, pass a Ryder background check and motor vehicle check including Drug and Alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
