At Ryder, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Automotive Technician to join our team. As a Senior Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnosis, repairs, and preventative maintenance on non-contractual customers' vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine vehicle maintenance, including tune-ups, oil changes, tire changes, and fluid checks.
- Diagnose and repair complex engine and transmission issues.
- Perform hydraulic brake inspections, repairs, and replacements.
- Operate out of a mobile maintenance vehicle and travel to customer yards within assigned regions.
- Represent Ryder to establish relationships with customers and ensure proper documentation of work orders and repair notes.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Vocational or professional diploma preferred.
- Two years or more of combination of classroom training and work experience.
- Non-Commercial Driver License CLASS E, preferred.
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred.
- State driver's license, as required.
- Pass a Ryder drug test and previous employer's for the past 3 years, DOT physical, Ryder road test, pass a Ryder background check and motor vehicle check including Drug and Alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years.
