Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our team. This role involves the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal products and equipment, including ducts and related components.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate hydraulic press brakes to form various sheet metal components, including transitions and ducts.
  • Utilize plate rolls for materials ranging from 20 gauge to 3/8" plate.
  • Operate sheet metal shears, ensuring optimal cutting to minimize waste.
  • Perform MIG welding on materials from 24 gauge to 3/8" plate, including galvanized, stainless, and carbon steel.
  • Learn and apply the forming processes for various sheet metal parts, such as elbows, collars, and reducers.
  • Understand the operation of plate rolls, spot welders, and other machinery used in forming processes.
  • Read and interpret assembly prints and procedures.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Trade or Technical School Degree is preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication is essential.
  • A minimum of four years of welding experience is required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
  • Ability to read assembly prints and procedures.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Skills Required

  • Proficiency in mechanical assembly.

Equipment Utilized

  • MIG Welder.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $23 - $29 per hour.
