Job Title: Welding Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Welding Engineer to join our Engineering and Design division at Newport News Shipbuilding.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, analyzing, researching, and designing welding techniques, procedures, and applications. They will use engineering principles to manipulate materials for fabrication and assembly processes.

The Welding Engineer will prepare technical documentation to implement waterfront welding processes, including specifications, analyses, standards, and restrictions. They will create new or modify current welding methods, techniques, and procedures to substantiate welding theories.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 2 years of relevant exempt experience
  • Master's Degree and 0 year of relevant professional experience
