About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and explain exams to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding throughout the process.
  • Perform MRI procedures with precision and accuracy, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain current knowledge of MRI procedures and safety requirements, staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the field.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Process and analyze exam results, making them available on our PACS system.
  • Participate in the education and oversight of orientees, ancillary staff, and students, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification through ARRT or ARMRIT in MRI within 1 year of hire.
  • West Virginia State Licensure as MRI Technologist or MRI Apprentice, or applicable state licensure where services will be performed.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • ARRT Certification in Radiography.
  • One (1) year experience in MRI.
