Position Objective
The Billing Operations Supervisor will report directly to the Financial Controller, playing a vital role in the success of our organization by overseeing the operational facets of our billing services. Collaborating closely with our clinical and administrative teams, the Billing Operations Supervisor will execute strategies to ensure exceptional billing operations. This role requires a strategic mindset and a hands-on approach to enhance our current functions, support employee development, and contribute positively to our company culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and supervise the work and schedules of billing personnel, including reconciliation specialists, denial specialists, billing processors, and eligibility specialists.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations.
  • Manage employee discipline and terminations in accordance with company policy, with guidance from the Financial Controller.
  • Provide support to ensure seamless operations across departments, particularly in billing processes.
  • Oversee daily billing operations, ensuring efficient service delivery, regulatory compliance, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Lead the billing team, promoting effective communication, performance, and professional growth.
  • Monitor operational metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to enhance productivity and profitability.
  • Collaborate with the administrative team and Financial Controller to develop and implement organizational programs, processes, goals, objectives, and initiatives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field - Required
  • 4+ years of experience in Operations and Management - Required
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in operations management, including roles of increasing responsibility and leadership
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare sector, including awareness of industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory mandates.
  • Effective leadership and people management abilities, with a background in guiding and inspiring cross-functional teams, enhancing performance, and cultivating a cooperative and diverse work atmosphere - Required
  • Flexible Hybrid Model: 3x/week onsite in-office, with a possibility of hybrid working; Travel Maximum of up to 50% of the time - Required
  • Experience with billing software (e.g., CentralReach ABA Software) - A plus
  • Technical Proficiencies: Process development, SOP development, data analysis, Microsoft Office 365, billing software, data collection software - Required
  • Strong ethical values, integrity, and dedication to upholding company governance. Expected to set a positive example and ensure that the organization adheres to legal and ethical guidelines.
