Job Overview

LHH Recruitment Solutions is collaborating with a dynamic organization seeking a Compensation Processing Specialist to support the execution of payroll operations, reconciliations, and compliance with garnishment regulations. This role is a contract-to-hire position that provides the opportunity for hybrid work arrangements following the training period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee weekly payroll operations, including auditing, reconciliation, and meticulous record-keeping.
  • Input and verify payroll data, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards and client specifications.
  • Manage the timely preparation, submission, and payment of all applicable local, state, and federal payroll taxes.
  • Process garnishments, tax levies, and child support payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain and audit direct deposit and pay card information to ensure compliance.
  • Facilitate the preparation and processing of payments for independent contractors.
  • Document and uphold payroll procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Generate management reports and respond to ad-hoc reporting requests.

Required Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of multi-state payroll regulations, tax legislation, and employment standards.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating a sense of urgency.
  • Proficient in following up and resolving tasks and inquiries promptly.
  • Exhibit sound judgment and strong problem-solving skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail, with the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving organizational and operational requirements.
  • Willingness to shift priorities and tasks as needed.

Compensation: $25.00 to $27.00 per hour
