Evening Caregiver Position

Join the dedicated team at River Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the evening shift.

We are looking for compassionate individuals who are eager to contribute to the well-being of our residents during the evening hours, from 2:30 PM to 10:30 PM, with potential 12-hour shift accommodations.

Same day pay is available.

Position Overview:

As a CNA, you will provide essential personal care to residents, ensuring their needs are met in accordance with their individual care plans. Your role is vital in fostering a nurturing environment that promotes both physical and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to resident call lights and ensure they are within reach.
  • Monitor residents who may need assistance and check on them regularly.
  • Provide direct care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Communicate procedures clearly to residents.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
  • Support residents during medical appointments and social activities.
  • Safely lift and transport residents as needed.
  • Provide incontinent care and ensure residents are dressed appropriately for the weather.
  • Change bed linens and manage laundry according to infection control standards.
  • Assist with feeding residents and document their dietary intake.
  • Encourage hydration and offer fluids as per care plans.
  • Implement daily nursing needs as directed by care plans or nursing staff.
  • Assist with mobility and repositioning of residents.
  • Record vital signs and report any changes in residents' conditions.
  • Maintain cleanliness in resident areas and assist with equipment care.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Adhere to the principles of residents' rights and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will possess strong communication skills and the ability to engage with residents and nursing staff effectively. Previous experience in long-term care is preferred, along with completion of a State Approved Nursing Assistant Training Program. Good standing in the state registry is required.
