Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at the New York Athletic Club. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our public spaces and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain various areas of the club, including floors, surfaces, and equipment, using a variety of cleaning tools and chemicals.
  • Operate high-speed buffing floor machines, floor stripping machines, and leaf blowers to maintain the appearance and cleanliness of our floors and surfaces.
  • Wipe down surfaces and disinfect using cleaning solutions and chemicals, including bleach, carpet stain remover, floor stripper, and brass cleaner.
  • Assist with the maintenance of our facilities, including lifting and moving heavy equipment and supplies.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless operations and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar work environment, preferably in a facilities maintenance or housekeeping role.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning public spaces and uncommon spaces.
  • Flexible schedule, including ability to work all holidays, weekends, AM shifts, PM shifts, and overnight shifts.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Background in floor care, including stripping and applying wax properly to floors, and buffing floors with high-speed buffing machines.
  • Knowledge of shampoo machines for carpets and ability to work with cleaning chemicals with no restrictions.
