Position Summary:

The Quality Supervisor is responsible for the ongoing development, preservation, and enhancement of the quality management system at Heil Environmental. This role involves conducting internal quality audits in accordance with ISO and ASQ quality audit certification standards, and assisting various departments in the formulation and execution of corrective action plans aimed at improving overall quality performance. The Quality Supervisor will also promote quality as a key driver for process improvement and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance the Quality Management System through continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate and refine conformance requirements based on customer feedback and manufacturing process modifications.
  • Conduct quality and safety audits, compiling results and reporting findings to management.
  • Develop training materials and communication tools to uphold quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure all employees are informed of regulatory changes affecting quality and safety.
  • Train staff to enhance the quality and efficiency of processes.
  • Facilitate sustainable improvements in both manufacturing and transactional processes.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve quality-related issues.
  • Implement and maintain electronic information systems related to Quality and Safety Management.
  • Investigate and address safety and quality concerns through root cause analysis.
  • Develop and update quality and safety policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Conduct inspections at various stages of production to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Prepare necessary documentation for customer-required inspections.
  • Manage calibration of measuring equipment and maintain an inventory of inspection tools.
  • Engage in quality control discussions with customers regarding defective or returned items.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork within the organization.
  • Analyze data from audit activities to assist in developing corrective action plans.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance within a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong report preparation and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access).
  • Ability to understand and apply process audit principles (ISO/ASQ).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and occasionally internationally.
