About the Role

The Regional Environmental Specialist is a key member of our team, responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company policies across our assigned portfolio. This role requires a strong understanding of environmental regulations and a proven track record of implementing and maintaining effective environmental programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to Facility and Community Management, Renovations and Project Development staff regarding compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Manage Environmental Support Requests via help desk ticketing system.
  • Assist in addressing resident environmental concerns.
  • Maintain environmental reports on project CDR.
  • Maintain lead-based paint lease addendums on CDR.
  • Maintain lead-based paint and asbestos records in Environmental Data Management System (Verdant).
  • Maintain EnviroSnap Reports.
  • Conduct annual Environmental Assurance site inspection and document in Project Portal.
  • Assist Facility Management in resolving deficiencies identified during annual assurance inspection.
  • Stay informed of current and proposed environmental regulations related to assigned region.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety, Science or Environmental Engineering required.
  • Minimum of 7 years environmental, health and safety experience.
  • Significant knowledge of lead, mold, radon, and/or asbestos along with any proof of certification as needed or required by state law.
  • Possession of a valid state-issued driver's license and safe driving record are required.
