The City of Murphy Texas is seeking a highly skilled Construction Inspector to join our team. As a key member of our Public Works department, you will be responsible for ensuring that all public improvement construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of public improvement construction projects to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
- Verify that all construction work meets the required standards and specifications.
- Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or concerns that arise during the inspection process.
- Prepare and submit detailed inspection reports to management and other relevant parties.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in codes, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure that our construction projects remain compliant and of the highest quality.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. construction management, civil engineering) preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction inspection or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
