Key Responsibilities
  • Execute daily food service tasks to fulfill customer and patient feeding timelines.
  • Uphold a clean and sanitary work environment suitable for handling food and service items, including tasks such as mopping, sweeping, and dishwashing.
  • Operate departmental equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Adhere to hospital and departmental guidelines, including food safety procedures.
  • Stay updated with training requirements and safety protocols.
  • Respond to internal and external customer needs promptly and courteously, following service standards.
  • Possess the ability to work in specialized areas such as diet office and/or cashiering.
Additional Duties
  • Perform other assigned tasks as necessary.
  • Comply with all policies and standards set forth.
  • Refer to departmental documentation for specific duties and responsibilities during orientation.
  • Ensure the secure handling of Protected Health Information (PHI) for patients, adhering to annual training and hospital policies.
Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
  • One year of relevant experience (Preferred)
Work Experience
  • Over one year of experience in food service (Preferred)
  • Over one year of experience in customer service (Preferred)
  • Prior experience in cash handling (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Basic computer skills (Preferred proficiency)
  • Ability to follow directions effectively (Required proficiency)
  • Strong guest relations skills (Required proficiency)
