Chef

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Maplewood Senior Living. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving meals to our residents in a safe and efficient manner.

• Assist in food preparation and service, ensuring that all meals are prepared to a high standard.
• Clean and maintain food service areas, including the kitchen and dining room.
• Assist in inventory control and ordering of food and supplies.
• Supervise servers in the absence of the Culinary Services Director.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work environment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of kitchen equipment and cooking techniques.
• Assure that resident diets are being followed.
• Report any loss, breakage, or waste of supplies and equipment to the Culinary Services Director.
• Communicate effectively with the Culinary Services Director and other staff members.

• Serve Safe Certification required.
• Working knowledge of rules and regulations related to health and safety in food preparation.
• Knowledge of cooking times and temperatures essential in accordance with state guidelines.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
