About the Opportunity

MAKERS architecture and urban design, LLP is seeking a highly skilled project manager to join our federal facilities planning team in Seattle or San Diego. As a project manager, you will play a critical role in leading our team in delivering successful facility plans, master plans, and site plans to our clients, including the US Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard.

Responsibilities
  • Manage projects from start to finish, including budget, staff, time, and team deliverables.
  • Prepare for and lead client interviews, site visits, meetings, and presentations.
  • Plan and facilitate interactive workshops and other engagement activities.
  • Delegate and contribute to assigned projects.
  • Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and team members to deliver successful projects.
Requirements
  • Five or more years of experience in a professional setting relating to planning, with a preference for federal work, and at least two years of experience in project management.
  • A master's or bachelor's degree in architecture, planning, or a related field.
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage budget and time in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, including technical writing proficiency, tactful communication in all forms, active listening, and an ability to identify and ask necessary questions.
  • Advanced proficiency with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite and Microsoft Office.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to conduct field work, which may include travel domestically and/or internationally.
Desired Skills
  • AICP, RLA, PE, RA certification or license, LEED AP or higher.
  • Previous experience with military or federal planning.
  • Understanding of military organizations and Department of Defense regulations.
  • Skilled at working with ArcPro GIS. AutoCAD experience is also a plus.
