Job Title: Design Engineer

Argus Technical Services is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, engineering, and developing new products and updating existing designs to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and engineer new products and update existing designs to meet customer requirements.
  • Find cost-effective solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to bring concepts to life.
  • Research and identify new innovations that are cost-effective.
  • Develop technical plans for prototypes that meet customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure smooth manufacturing processes.
  • Test and refine prototypes to meet quality standards.
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, team members, and clients throughout the project.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in industrial product design and engineering.
  • 5 years of mechanical engineering experience.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided design software, including AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
  • Ability to create 2D and 3D renderings.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.
  • Experience in furniture, cabinets, retail displays, or merchandising is a plus.
Work Environment:
  • Work in an office environment with moderate noise levels.
  • Sit at a desk for up to 8 hours per day.
  • Use hands and fingers for daily work on computer and department tasks.
  • Use vision to review department work, including close vision on a computer screen.
  • Communicate effectively using a telephone.
  • Occasionally stand and walk to interact with production team in manufacturing environment.
