Position Title: Senior Vice President of Production
Position Summary: The Senior Vice President of Production will play a crucial role in the executive team at Triton Medical Robotics. This individual will initially oversee a dedicated team responsible for the production of endoscopic devices compatible with our robotic systems. The scope of this role may evolve to encompass broader aspects of robotic manufacturing. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in establishing, managing, and scaling production operations for medical devices, particularly in the realms of catheters and endoscopes, from initial validation to high-volume, cost-effective manufacturing across various regions.
This position is strategic and impactful, contributing significantly to the future of flexible endoscopy. A key focus will be ensuring that both design and manufacturing processes are executed flawlessly. We highly value candidates who can effectively communicate our manufacturing vision to both internal stakeholders and external partners, including those involved in fundraising and business development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and implement a comprehensive manufacturing strategy that transitions innovative designs from validation to efficient, high-volume production while maintaining product excellence.
- Identify and execute growth initiatives for the manufacturing team, including drafting job descriptions, conducting interviews, and onboarding new talent.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality benchmarks, collaborating closely with the Quality Assurance team to establish and uphold robust quality management systems.
- Engage with internal teams and external partners to facilitate product development and market introduction.
- Develop production timelines and establish key performance indicators for current and future product lines.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the manufacturing team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and ongoing development.
- Oversee the design and implementation of next-generation manufacturing technologies.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting efforts to ensure precise and timely financial insights for the executive team.
- Proactively monitor industry trends and operational needs, driving necessary changes and improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Science, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- A minimum of ten years of experience in medical device manufacturing leadership.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external partners.
- Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills, employing a data-driven approach.
- Strong project management capabilities, adept at juggling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- A detail-oriented approach with a strong emphasis on quality and continuous improvement.
- Comprehensive understanding of design controls, regulatory requirements, and quality standards in medical device manufacturing.
- Experience in recruiting, managing, and leading diverse, high-performing teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in high-volume production environments.
- Familiarity with international manufacturing practices.
