Position Overview

The Logistics Operations Supervisor oversees the daily management of the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods and materials within the organization. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that team members adhere to established operational protocols for tasks such as verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, managing materials, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
  • Conduct inspections of the warehouse and equipment to assess their condition, and initiate work orders for necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Analyze schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to identify items that need to be moved, collected, or distributed.
  • Facilitate the movement of materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated locations.
  • Supervise the fulfillment of work orders or requests for materials, tools, or other supplies, and allocate these items to team members.
  • Oversee the recovery of damaged or surplus materials.
  • Complete requisition forms to procure necessary supplies.
  • Prepare packages for shipping and maintain comprehensive inventory records.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience managing a large-scale warehouse facility.
  • Background in quality control and/or inventory management, including relevant certifications.
  • Experience in overseeing multiple shifts of work.
  • Fluency in multiple languages is advantageous.
  • A minimum of five years of supervisory experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to guide team members in completing tasks according to established guidelines and policies.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently while following general guidelines.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • A proactive, energetic, and hands-on approach to leadership.
  • Attention to detail in a dynamic work environment.
  • Preferred experience operating forklifts.
  • A strong work ethic and dedication to excellence.
