Glumac, A Tetra Tech Company, is seeking an experienced mechanical engineer to lead the mechanical discipline team through projects from early concept to construction completion. As a senior mechanical engineer, you will have the opportunity to lead a portfolio of ground-breaking projects in various market sectors, including commercial, education, government, healthcare, and hospitality. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design and planning of sustainable mechanical systems for buildings and facilities. They will lead technical communication with clients on MEP topics and act as an Engineer of Record. The candidate will be responsible for the overall quality of the engineering design, including code and client expectations. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead assigned project teams and participate in budgeting, scheduling, and staff management. Experience in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry is critical for this role. The ideal candidate has a current PE license, is highly technical in HVAC design with at least 15 years of overall experience, and demonstrates a high level of leadership, mentorship, and technical capabilities to successfully delegate and provide mentoring to younger staff. This position offers a hybrid-remote work environment. The candidate must be located in Portland or Seattle and eligible to work in the U.S. to attend project meetings on-site as needed to facilitate collaboration.
