About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Automotive Service Center Assistant Manager to join our team at Blain's Farm & Fleet. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for assisting the Service Center Manager in overseeing the Service Technicians and the Automotive Service Center.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Resolve customer issues in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience for our customers.
  • Technical Assistance: Provide technical assistance and training for service technicians and advisors, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supervision: Supervise Service Center associates, providing guidance and support to ensure they are meeting their performance goals.
  • Technician Responsibilities: Perform Technician responsibilities as needed, including performing repairs and maintenance on vehicles.
  • Loss Prevention and Safety: Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate a company vehicle.
  • Communication Skills: Possess great communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
  • Automotive Experience: Prior Automotive Maintenance experience is preferred, as well as prior supervisory experience and prior retail experience.
  • Certifications: Able to attain an ASE Certification in A4 Steering and Suspension and A5 brakes within one year of hire date, and possess or have the ability to obtain forklift certification.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and speak English and communicate with customers and co-workers.
